I've stated my point of view on the reference to "Birth Of A Nation" over at ]. Personally I've never felt that a list of contexts in which a piece has been used is very illuminating as regards telling anything about the piece itself. It also has the potential to become bloated out of all proportion to the material which is actually about the work. I've stated my point of view on the reference to "Birth Of A Nation" over at Talk:Ride_of_the_Valkyries#Birth_Of_A_Nation. Personally I've never felt that a list of contexts in which a piece has been used is very illuminating as regards telling anything about the piece itself.
