Revision as of 00:37, 13 October 2007

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Profg (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

As noted here, this block was place without following proper policies and procedures; there was no "consensus" among uninvolved parties; I committed no "gross violation" of WP policies to warrant an indef block; and I even said I was more than willing to enter into arbitration, as there is ample evidence that can be brought forth on my behalf. Block was placed, disregarding WP procedures. Request that this block be removed, and an RfC initiated instead. Thank you.

Decline reason:

You've been much of a POV warrior and somewhat a troll for as long as the community could put up with it. The community's patience has expired, and I am declining this request; probably including any other administrator, will most likely decline others if you continue to request one, so please don't annoy us: It will only result in the protection of this page. —] 00:33, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I'd suggest actually reading the link first. Never have I seen so much consensus for a ban. Adam Cuerden 20:15, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

Yes indeed, and Adam has also received awards in appreciation for taking control and saving Misplaced Pages a lot of trouble. -- Fyslee / talk 20:37, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

AGREE to Unblock Proposal

Since I cannot edit anywhere except here, I hereby AGREE to B's and BlueMoonlet's proposal here to be place on "civility parole and a 1RR restriction".

I would also like to take this opportunity to ask B and BlueMoonlet to monitor all of my activities and interactions with others, especially with those who brought and fought for the charges resulting in the indef block, with the purpose of giving me warning, instruction, and (in general) mentoring me along the way here at Misplaced Pages. I admire your fairness in contributing to the WP project, and would appreciate your assistance here.

CC'ing to B's and BlueMoonlet's email.

Thank you. --profg 20:56, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Here is the formal text of the "civility parole and 1RR restriction" (borrowed from previous WP:RFARB cases):
Profg (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is subject to a comprehensive editing restriction for six months. He limited to one revert per page per week (excepting obvious vandalism), and is required to discuss any content reversions on the page's talk page. If he exceeds this limit, fails to discuss a content reversion, or makes any edits which are judged by an administrator to be uncivil, personal attacks, or assumptions of bad faith, he may be blocked.
I am going to write an explanation at ANI, notify the blocking admin, then remove the block. Please use this opportunity to edit constructively, avoid controversy, avoid topics where you may have a conflict of interest, and not abuse the second chance. --B 22:30, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
