Currently, she is the voice of the character Suga Mama Proud on Bruce W. Smith's The Proud Family, broadcast on The Disney Channel and ABC Kids. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. In 1999 she released a jazz album titled 'Southern Shadows'. She is married and has a daughter from a previous marriage.
