My interests on Misplaced Pages vary, but I primarily concentrate on locations within Queensland, biographical articles concerning Australian politicians, and in attempting providing balance and an NPOV perspective on articles with controversial subject matter.

I'm also fairly active over at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion. I don't consider myself an inclusionist or a deletionist, but rather as someone who looks at every article on a case-by-case basis. If you disagree with my arguments in a deletion debate, feel free to drop me a line, I'm not averse to changing my vote given a good reason. Some of my pet hates with AfD debates are:

  • Users nominating articles on culturally unfamiliar subjects without doing backup checks. Examples are this and . If you're not familiar with a subject, do a bit of research before taking it to AfD.
  • Television episodes are nearly always not notable. Unfortunately, there seems to be an attitude that notability guidelines do not apply to episodes of some random Japanese cartoon, and AfD debates for these nearly always end in no consensus decisions. I am happy and impressed though that some TV wikiprojects have stopped encouraging the creation of crufty episode articles, and instead are concentrating on developing high-quality "episode list" articles, which I think are great.

Unfortunately, between my WikiGnoming and saving borderline cases of articles that hit AfD, I don't get time to work on other projects so much anymore.
