The height of the Endless Stair is not known exactly, but Gandalf in his account to Gimli states that it climbed many thousands of steps in an unbroken spiral.

In Christopher's Paolini's book ''],'' ]n dwarves have a similar structure, called Vol Turin, translated as "the Endless Staircase."
