Introduction
Hello, friends.
I'm finally getting around to writing this user page. I hate writing about myself, so I'll just provide this handy dot-point list of interesting things:
- I live in Sandgate, a town in Queensland, Australia.
- I work for the Queensland Department of the Treasury, as a support engineering consultant (yes, this means helpdesk).
- I hold a Bachelor of Information Technology degree from the Queensland University of Technology. What a great idea that was.
- I am the editor and owner of http://www.halo-17.net, an indie music ezine. I'll soon also be one of the board members of Halo Network, a project to bring more open publications onto the market, which aren't coloured by commercial and corporate concerns.
- I was born in 1983, and I have a longtime girlfriend.
- I share my name with a lecturer of zoology at the University of Queensland. I get about one email meant for him a month.
- My favourite sports include cricket and rugby.
- Some people have accused me of being anti-American. What I feel I am, though, is pro-Australian.
- I speak with a slightly Irish accent. Despite living 95% of my life inside a large city, I'm also told that I sound like a country boy.
- I play guitar, piano, and I'm thinking about taking up drums.
