Sister ROMA! There's No Place Like Rome or simply Sister Roma (born Michael Williams) is a 20 year veteran member of San Francisco's Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Inc and one of the most outspoken Drag Queens in the LGBT community. She is widely considered to be the Order’s most visible member, appearing on local and national television like CNN, FOX News, in MTV videos, on radio and in countless newspapers and magazines, serving as a spokesmodel for the LGBT community. Roma has been a free speech advocate and HIV and AIDS activist. Roma's sharp wit and unpredictable point of view have made her one of San Francisco's most colorful personalities and favorite MC's. Roma writes a bi-monthly column in Gloss magazine and co-hosts an online live-format talk show about the adult pornography industry, The Tim and Roma Show. Roma has also done coverage of the GayVN Awards show as well as extensive appearances at fundraisers of a range of LGBT events and adult entertainment benefits. Roma also serves as the Art Director for gay porn studio Hot House Entertainment. Roma also supports annual high-profile events as an emcee on the main stages of San Francisco Pride and the Folsom Street Fair.
