Acupressure is a form of folk medicine based on the same Chinese ideas as acupuncture. It involves putting physical pressure, by hand or with the aid of various devices, on different points within the body (which may be far distant from the symptom) to bring about relief from symptoms.

A type of wristband using acupressure to relieve the symptoms of motion sickness and other forms of nausea has been developed - reports of its effectiveness vary.
