Tim grew up in Sydney, Australia, and attended St Andrew's Cathedral School. Before his role on Hi-5, Harding was a member of the Australian band Compos Mentis that played funk and acid jazz. He was studying Social Work at university when he auditioned, and won a place, in Hi-5. He has been (temporarily?) replaced by Steven Nicholson in the Hi 5 Circus Stageshow as Tim was injured in a terrible motorcycle accident which left him in a wheelchair and with seven broken toes which (obviously) left him unable to dance, but the show must go on.
