That was what was declined. An article which hasn't been edited in eight days is one that most certainly doesn't need semi-protection. The use of semi-protection is for where reverting becomes impossible or difficult - sudden influxes, many vandalism edits a day, various IP's etc. Daniel 07:05, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

• To find out the username of the admin who protected the page, click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page," which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
• Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.

unprotection , No history of vandalism, it's not that high-risk, pre-emptive protection which is discouraged per WP:PROTECT. It's hampering me and I'm sure others from making valuable edits. Change to autoconfirmed as medium-low risk.-Pumpmeup 10:08, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Discussion on the talk page has more or less died out, and (very weak) consensus on the talk page appears to be for removing the links that were being edit-warred over. un-protect.. This was made into a redirect and then protected during what seems to have been a wheel war between two admins. This happened back in 2006(!) and it is still protected. IMO, the subject of this particular article is the only reason for notability of Saugeen Mainland Hall (or whatever the dorm is called). That article should be AFDed and the Saugeen Stripper article un-redirected and improved as a stand-alone article. Nobody of consequence 21:03, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
