Seth is a videogame character in The King of Fighters series. He made his first appearance as a playable character in KOF 2000. His first appearance at all however was as a secret striker in KOF 99 for the Sega Dreamcast.

History

Seth was a young man who spent his childhood in the ghettos. Having to defend himself, he began to study several martial arts and engage in a rigorous training schedule. He eventually became very powerful, and was asked to join an organization's weapons development project. He accepted, seeing it as a profitable opportunity.

King of Fighters 2000

One day, he was ordered by his superior Ling to enter the King of Fighters tournament with Benimaru Nikaido, Shingo Yabuki and Lin. Meeting with all of his teammates, the team blazed through the tournament. Finally reaching the climax of the tournament, however, they discovered a surprising revelation - Zero, who is one the highest ranking members of the NESTS syndicate, has killed Ling and disguised as him (then later substituted by Ling's clone). Not long after this discovery, the team is joined by K' and Maxima who all banded together against Zero, eventually defeating him.

However, their victory is short-lived, as the fighters realize the Zero Cannons (the Ultimate weapons of the NESTS cartel) were about to fire upon Southtown. Seth and the others quickly retreat.

King of Fighters 2001

Seth join with his two partners and Iori in the last KOF: NESTS Tournament.

However, NESTS was far from disbanded. They quickly announced the next tournament, and near the end of the tournament, Seth experienced his goal of the destruction of NESTS as he watched its space station fall from space.

The King of Fighters: Maximum Impact

Seth has a bigger role in this series where it turns out that he is the one that killed his father and it also turns out that Duke calls him... Master Seth.

Trivia

  • Seth is primarily a counter/defensive-type character.
  • Seth's HDM Crossbone in KOF 2002 is useless against the CPU since it alters the directions a character can be moved in (e.g. Up becomes Down, Left becomes Right).
