What other section? There is only one reference that I fond and that related to his father. I have read the history on the issue of Obama's Muslim ties. I am an independent voter and I like Obama a great deal, but the issue of his Muslim childhood ties is just not going to go away. I proposed a balanced approach in the discussion pages a few minutes ago - basically that a matter of fact approach that includes only the Muslim childhood references that he includes in his biography (or those that his close family openly discusses), followed by a paragraph from his biography that speaks to his multi-cultural upbringing. It's just not reasonable for biased supporters to hawkishly sit on every Muslim-related edit and immediately 'undo'. Re:Famous Hoosiers
I didn't mean to call some people not notable, I just wanted to shorten the list. Before, the list had nearly 100 entries. That's quite long, too long to spend time to read. I simply pared it down to make it more accessible to others. The ones I removed were those not known as well for being from Indiana, those slightly less notable in general, etc. However, I did add a few from a list of the most important Hoosiers I found. I added the warning to prevent the section from getting so darn long again. Change the wording of it if you want. If you disagree with any specific changes, go ahead and remove it, but with Category:People from Indiana and List of people from Indiana, such a long list on the Indiana page is completely unnecessary. Cheers! Reywas92 02:13, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
- If you didn't notice, I also started List of Indiana state symbols. I've gotten it mostly done, but a little help on adding refs could be useful. Thanks! Reywas92 02:22, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
Swing State
Swing states are not determined by polls. They are determined by historical precedents. Anyone who knows anything about politics knows this. Just cause ONE crazy newspaper poll says something doesn't make it fact. Polls are always all over the place, and you need a good solid trend of several polls saying the same thing to even suggest that they point to a state entering "swing state" status. You're going to need a lot more sources than one newspaper poll to prove that Indiana is a swing state, especially being it went Bush by a large margin last time and hasn't been a swing state for 40 years or so. In Presidential elections, Lake County is really the only stuanchly-Democrat county, with Marion, LaPorte, and St. Joseph just barely going to the Democrats. Please do some more research, and find additional sources on this matter before controversially suggesting Indiana, Kentucky, et. al. to be swing states. Abog (talk) 23:59, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
Template:User Indianapolis
Huh? As the person who made this template, I suppose I have some emotional investment in it - why would you want to change its colors at all? And why would you want to change them from the colors of the flag? That seems to make the most sense to me, and is more visually arresting. As an aside, I think the picture you inserted is better, especially considering the small thumbnail. -Justin (koavf)·T·C·M 05:50, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
- Again I gave it a shot again, and kept your text formatting, but reinserted the flag colors. -Justin (koavf)·T·C·M 05:53, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
- Silver? Leaving the rest silver is a little blah visually, but it also doesn't make as much sense to me as a tricolor, since the flag itself has three colors. Three colors, three "chambers" in the template. If you want to keep white behind the picture, you could put navy behind the text - make text white and links some other color? -Justin (koavf)·T·C·M 06:06, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
- Okay I still prefer what I had before, but if we're each mutually miserable with this one, I'll be fine with it. Thanks. -Justin (koavf)·T·C·M 06:14, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Re: Colors
Well, most of the NFL-related templates and pages I've seen use the darker blue before they do the lighter blue (i.e. if more than two colors are needed). The NFL season pages are really the only place I've seen the lighter blue used more. So if you want to change them, that'd be great. Pats1 /C 23:02, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Hey, sorry, I don't think you can use {{prod}} on templates, so I removed it. How about starting up a merge discussion on the talk page of the dominant template? List of Big Ten National Championships page
Thanks for all the updates on the page. It took me a while to finish putting all the national championships on the page and I was not in the mood to categorize and display references afterwards. I just hope we can put more national championships on the page within the next year. Peanuts5402 (talk) 20:00, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
Your edit to Reliant Stadium's infobox
I reverted your edit to Reliant Stadium's infobox - specifically the section on tenants. Although "events" of thios nature are not permanent tenants of a facility, they are nevertheless included as tenants in a sports stadium infobox. Typically, Bowl games, recurring special events, and the Super Bowl are included. See Rose Bowl (stadium), University of Phoenix Stadium, Louisiana Superdome, Tulane Stadium, Sun Devil Stadium, etc. etc.
Additionally, it should be noted that the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo is actually a permanent tenant for Reliant Stadium (as they were with the Astrodome before it). --Mr. Brown (talk) 06:45, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

2008 Election
We should use the current 'leader' in the polls from each side only? Leader according to which polls? Huckabee is the favorite nationally on the GOP side according to the newest polls. Why not just leave all potentially relevent factual information in the piece? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jlma ad (talk • contribs) 19:26, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
I still do not see any reason not to allow multiple poll numbers. It may get crowded, but it's factual. If using the leader is the rule then, will you delete it when I change the polls to Mike Huckabee as he is the leader according to Rasmussen http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll ?

NFL Rivalries
I've reverted your edits to most of the NFL rivalries pages and brought the logo's back. Most other sports rivalries pages have the team logos, and the logos themselves are from the main pages of their respective teams, so if we delete these logos, should we delete them from the main pages then? They're within the proper use on here. If you have any other questions let me know. Jgera5 (talk) 05:14, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I think you had good intentions, and I'm not even remotely considering this vandalism. However, it seems to be inconsistent with other sports rivalries pages. Why pick on the NFL and leave the other sports leagues or college levels alone? I think the admin's need to more worry about the vandalism and some poor-quality pages and not worry about logo's that are being used on some pages but can't be used on others, copyright or not. They need to make up their mind.Jgera5 (talk) 05:35, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
RE:Indi Seasons
No, anyone can close a WP:FLC. The nomination, no matter how much support though, has to stay up for at least 10 days. After ten days if there is at least 4 supports and consensus has been reached, then someone will promote it (Usually User:Scorpion0422). So even though you have enough support, youll have to wait for the 10 day period to pass. If there isnt enough support votes, and there is either active discussion and revision, or there seems to be a consensus to promote but it still needs more support, than the nom is left open until there is consensus or the nom has garnered enough votes (See my nom of Green Bay Packers seasons as an example of a nom that has consensus to promote, yet still needs one more support vote, so the nom is left open until that happens.) Hope that helps. Good work, I like how the list has evolved.
Gonzo fan2007 23:01, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the support, but remember to comment on the content, not the contributor. Just make sure that you are voting on the article and not on the contributor. A lot of people will cry WP:COI if they feel a "Ill scratch your back if you scratch mine" has occurred. But good work on the Indi seasons, Ill be rooting for them (up until they meet the Packers in the Super Bowl of course :P). Keep up the good work and feel free to ask me any questions if you need any help in the future.
Gonzo fan2007 23:23, 6 January 2008 (UTC)- Haha Im thinking more Packers 49 Colts 0 in the Super Bowl :P lol, yeah I cant stand the Pats, the Steelers are out, and I like Dungy so Im pulling for the Colts. And yeah I just wanted to warn you cuz ive seen people get all worked up cuz "you supported him, so he supported you." Its stupid but I thought I would make it clear that both lists were evaluated on the merit of the list itself and not the contributors! Jeez this Chargers/Titans game is a lot closer than I thought! ha well have a good day! GoPackers!.

I guess it looks better now, but I still think it would be better to separate them. It would get red of the conference red links and it would make more sense (at least to me) to have separate ones. I think it would look a lot cleaner and go in line with the other NFL season by team templates. But whatever, just the creation of those two templates confused me lol.03:32, 7 January 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gonzo fan2007 (talk • contribs)
- Ahhhh Sinebot got me haha, what I meant was that we have {{2007 NFL season by team}} and all the other templates for all the seasons leading up to it. Since we already have 38 templates for the NFL, I thought it would make sense to just keep on doing that for each league, since the AFL only went from 60-69, so we would have separate NFL seasons and AFL seasons since for the most part they didnt have anything to do with each other up until the merger. So basically I think we should have {{1969 NFL season by team}} and {{1969 AFL season by team}} since we have separate season articles ((1969 NFL season and 1969 AFL season) and so on for each year that these were two separate leagues.
Gonzo fan2007 03:44, 7 January 2008 (UTC) - I dont understand, what do you mean?
Gonzo fan2007 04:19, 8 January 2008 (UTC)- I think as long as the team names are linked, it should be fine. Really I dont mind as I can see the point for each side. Whatever looks the best would probably be my choice.
Gonzo fan2007 04:23, 8 January 2008 (UTC)- Haha yeah dont close it yourself, anyone can close, but it is usually frowned upon to close your own noms. I closed the discussion, just give it a while for GimmeBot to place the star in the corner and update the talk page for the featured status (it may take a couple hours or a couple minutes lol). Nice work again.

- Looks like someone forgot to add it in, so I fixed it. Please create the Category:List-Class Indianapolis articles page when you do tag a talk page with it in. I would rather not do it now because I do not know which pages need to be added and someone might tag it with Speedy deletion rule #1 - empty category. Cheers.
