Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat (NIT Surat) is one of the 17 regional engineering colleges established in India in the 1960s.

The college has now been converted into National Institute of Technology. It was earlier called Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional College of Engineering and Technology (SVRCET). College offers seven undergraduate courses of Bachelor of Technology in various disciplines like Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Electronics, Chemical, Computer. It also offers postgraduate courses in Environmental engineering,structural engineering and turbomachines.
