Television episode
"My Fifteen Minutes"

"My Fifteen Minutes" is the eighth episode of the American situation comedy Scrubs. It originally aired as Episode 8 of Season 1 on November 15, 2001. This episode is notable for its poster campaign surrounding Dr Turk, which makes use of slogans like 'Our MD's have Mad Skills,' and 'Time to get an EKG, G.'

Plot

Turk and J.D.'s plans to have lunch at a strip club are interrupted when they encounter a demonstration against the club that had attracted the attention of the media. Turk and J.D. are accosted by a television interviewer; but when the reporter's cameraman passes out, Turk and J.D. resuscitate him on live television.

Dr. Kelso sees the incident as an opportunity to gain some good publicity for Sacred Heart Hospital, and he convinces J.D. to agree to be part of an advertising campaign for the hospital with Turk. However, Turk is less enthused by the idea, especially when J.D. is cut out of the ads and Turk is used as a selling point to appeal to the black community (complete with slogans like 'Our MDs have Mad Skills,' and 'Time to get an EKG, G'). J.D. does not understand why this upsets Turk, until Turk explains that he does not want to be singled out because he is black. Turk eventually ends the advertisements by threatening to sue Dr. Kelso.

Meanwhile, J.D. worries over his intern evaluation from Dr. Cox and is tormented by Janitor, who claims J.D. has stolen a cleaning product. Carla and Elliot rebuild their friendship after Carla blows Elliot off to spend time with a friend she hasn't seen in a while.
