The Bobcats never gave up and won the rest of their games, making it to the City Championship. They faced the Horace Mann bearcats for a second time, and were furious about their last meeting. With a great half time speech by Coach Mundy, the Bobcats destroyed the Bearcats 36-0, with their second team scoring a touchdown. The mercy rule made Dunbar use their first team, but still scored. Dunbar Gifted & Talented Education International Studies Magnet Middle School is a magnet middle school in Little Rock, Arkansas and administered by the Little Rock School District.
Dunbar is located near the historically famous Little Rock Central High School and is a principal feeder into that school. Both schools are on the National Register of Historic Places.
Since its construction in 1929 and before the Little Rock Integration Crisis of 1957, Dunbar was the site of the Negro School of Industrial Arts, the Paul Laurence Dunbar Junior and Senior High School and Dunbar Junior College. Architecturally, Dunbar is a scaled miniature of Central High.
