DOOM³ is a first person shooter computer game due to be released in 2004. It's developed by id Software and published by Activision.

It is a remaking of the original Doom series and will use a completely new and proprietary graphics engine.

The main new engine features of DOOM³ will be unified lighting and shadow-casting, this combined with the support for bump mapping of all textures results in very realistic looking enemies and environments.
