Ian Weinberg is a former professional soccer player, coach, and the founder of Soccer Sauce.
Weinberg was a four year starter and two year captain at Western Washington University , where he led the Vikings to the school’s best record, and it’s first conference championship; he finished in the top 10 in goals, assists, points, and games played. He graduated from Western Washington University with a BA in Political Science. His professional career began in 2002 at the Pro Select Invitational Soccer Combine where he was selected to the all star team. Upon it’s completion he joined the Seattle Sounders- playing in four games, before moving abroad to play for FC Bitburg and Eintracht Trier 05 in Germany. His return home prompted the creation of Live The Dream Soccer Academy, where a backbone of technical and tactical development furthered the growth of many youth players. A return to the professional level saw Weinberg take his trade indoors, playing for the Cleveland Force of the MISL.
