In Star Wars fictional universe, the Aquatic Assault Stormtroopers (also known as Seatroopers and aquatic troopers) were a special branch of the Imperial Stormtroopers. They were used by the Empire to maintain a presence on the aquatic worlds under its rule. Many of the machines used by the Empire were modified for aquatic use, including TIE Fighter Boats, Wavewalker and AT-AT Swimmer. The Aquatic trooper's armour was based on the light design of the scout trooper. It covers a two-piece environmental body glove that gives protection from uncomfortable temperature extremes or toxic water environments. Their armour is more flexible than standard Stormtrooper designs. The aquatic troopers regular weapon is a blaster rifle/speargun hybrid.
