Albert Arnold Gore III (born October 19 1982) is the son of former United States Vice President Al Gore and the grandson of former United States Senator from Tennesee Al Gore, Sr.. He is best-known for being mentioned in an emotional vice-presidential nomination acceptance speech by his father during the 1992 Democratic National Convention.
In April 1989 at age six, Albert Arnold Gore III was the victim of a near-fatal car accident while attending a baseball game in Baltimore, Maryland. Because of this and the resulting lengthy healing process, his father chose to stay near him during the recovery instead of laying the foundation for a presidential primary campaign against eventual Democrat party nominee, Bill Clinton.
In December 2003, Gore III was charged with marijuana possesion in Maryland.
