The Arwing is the space craft piloted by the Star Fox team of the Star Fox videogame franchise. Although today we know it as a blue and white ship, it was not always so; as the colors have evolved from a plain white color, so has the design of the ship over the many games made and years passed.
st Generation: Initially there was not an all-range mode of the modern Arwing, the wings of the first design stayed fixed, and the cannon was mounted in the center of the craft.
nd Generation: With the second design of the Arwing, the wings shift to the center position and take a much shorter and wider design. The main cannon is still center mounted, but there are now twin lasers mounted to either side of the center; this design now adopts the blue color of the modern Arwing.
rd Generation: With the third design of the Arwing we see a slight change in cockpit placement, and the wings once again shift place a bit. A jet exhaust is now visible, as are the laser cannons. Landing gear is now also attached.
th Generation: Finally, with the most recent version, the fourth design shows the vertical wings tilting with control. The horizontal wings don't pull back any more as they have previously, and the engine has now been made visible. The cockpit is once again placed at the back of the ship. Template:Videogame-fict-stub
