Acupressure is a form of folk medicine based on the same Chinese ideas as acupuncture. It involves putting physical pressure, by hand, elbow, or with the aid of various devices, on different acupuncture points on the surface of the body (which may be far distant from the symptom) to bring about relief from symptoms through greater balance of the energies in the body (Qi).

An acupressure wristband to relieve the symptoms of motion sickness and other forms of nausea is available.
