Dublin High School was established in the fall of 1969 as the second high school in Pleasanton, California's Amador Valley High School District and graduated its first senior class in June of 1971. After the incorporation of the City of Dublin in 1982, Dublin High was annexed and combined with the Murray School District (est. 1856) to form the Dublin Unified School District in 1989. Dublin High has been selected a California Distinguished School four times since 1990 (1990, 1992, 1996, and 2003). Its mascot is the Gael. The outgoing student body president presiding over the school is Matt Spring. Currently, its best-known alumni are Ned Yost, manager of the Milwaukee Brewers, Rob Jenkins, former NFL left/right tackle and coach for the LA Rams and Oakland Raiders, Droop-E, Bay Area Hip-Hop producer and rapper, and Justin Peelle, an NFL tight end with the Miami Dolphins.
