You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Ato Boldon. I don't believe the content you are objecting to constitutes defamation (there certainly seems to have been no legal action taken against The Guardian or other publishers), but again, you are encouraged to discuss your concerns on the article talk page.
