The fourth Doctor Who Christmas special has been confirmed to air on Christmas 2008 but the title is yet to be announced. It will feature the return of the Cybermen.

Plot

Major plot details are to be revealed but it has been disclosed that the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant) will face the return of the Cybermen, last seen in the series 2 finale, Army of Ghosts / Doomsday. A bronze Cyberman, popularly named a 'Cyberwraith' has been revealed in several tabloid newspapers, it's appearence differs in the form of diamond shaped 'handlebars' as well as it wearing a hooded black cloak.

Also appearing in this episode are actresses Dervla Kirwan, Velile Tshabalala, and actor David Morrissey. All of whom are new to the Doctor Who series.

Filming for this episode was conducted in April 2008 at Gloucester Cathedral and St Woolos Cemetary in Newport. Based on costuming, the Daily Mail speculates that this episode will have a Victorian era setting.
