Funkadelic pages

Malik, Thanks for keeping up with my stuff on Funkadelic the last few days. Especially P.Funk--->P-Funk. (My bad!) We could use album navigation on my new page for the 1996 live album but I'm not sure how to go about it.

I've decided to add what I know to the pages about Funkadelic and their albums after recently reading through a whole mess of CD liner notes, and rediscovering one of my favorite websites from years ago: THE MOTHERPAGE. I might be adding some updates (where appropriate) for Parliament and their albums in the coming days.

Malik - in response to your comments on my page... For album navigation purposes, I'm wondering if the 1996 live Funkadelic album should be placed between Maggot Brain and America Eats Its Young, because that's when the live concert was actually recorded. It seems odd to me to stick it in 1996 after Connections and Disconnections. That's what I was getting at when I said "not sure how to go about it." Also not sure if Misplaced Pages has a rule on this. I'll leave that up to you and the rest of the Wiki gang.

I'll be doing some more work on the whole P-Funk universe in the coming days. Enjoy your short break from Wiki duties.

Any ideas??

Hi Malik. I was trying to get another citation for an article but I came to a dead end. It seems that I would have to become a member of this site to get the information from the article. See here: If you know another way I can get a hold of this article that would be great. Thanks Peace out.Mcelite (talk) 01:20, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanx Malik Shabazz. :) Mcelite (talk) 04:09, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Query on Spelling Policy

Malik, I just corrected several minor spelling errors including one very subtle on in one section of the Lolita (1962 film) page. (Many were obvious. The subtle one is "blonde" with an 'e' is always a noun as a blond-haired woman, The 'e' is left off if it is an adjective or a fellow.) However, is there a wikipedia policy on English vs. American spelling. The article currently reads "hospitalise" which is standard in Britain, but in America it is always "hospitaliZe" with a 'Z' as the last consonant. Is wikipedia committed to American vs. British spelling? "color" instead of "colour" "jail" instead of "gaol" etc. etc. etc.

WickerGuy (talk) 04:36, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

OK, given your reply, I'm going to say that since Nabokov was living in America when Lolita was published and the story is set in America, then the article on the '62 film should use American spelling (regardless of the fact that the film article was filmed in England.)

Thanks

re Fire!

Hi - good idea, but it needs an admin to do the move (I don't know why - I've moved hundreds of pages over redirects in the past...!). Lugnuts (talk) 07:14, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

I've requested it at WP:RM. Lugnuts (talk) 18:02, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Unqualified "Terrorism"

I'd appreciate your comments here. Thanks, TheMightyQuill (talk) 18:20, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

3rr

I've been paying attention, but thanks for the reminder anyway. If this CfD goes through, it won't matter anyway. TheMightyQuill (talk) 19:37, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Miscegenation

I notice that Interracial marriages and Miscegenation articles were re-seperated by you, but I was surprised when linked in by the interracial relationship article to the miscegenation article other. I wanted to talk with you here about the idea of changing the direction because I think miscegenation is more of an attitude about interracial relationships which I think covers a bigger issue. Personally, I find the term offensive because it reminds me of terms like mysogeny and sodomy which are used to suggest that the various actions that constitide mysogeny are wrong---which they are, in that case, but it was created to be derogatory toward interracial relationships in the same way in my opinion and is therefore politically incorrect and should not be the main article for the issue at all. Just wanted to get your thoughts. BMSprint (talk) 15:59, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

To all members of the Anarchist Task Force - about improvement of the AI-Wiki-page

I have just joined the Anarchist Task Force, and I have had some problems with publishing of my Anarchist International Misplaced Pages page, see my sandbox http://en.wikipedia.org/User:Anna_Quist/Anarchist_International for the present version/proposal. This page needs improvements to reach Wiki-consensus, and this should be a somewhat collective project to avoid a "COI"-template. As I am new to editing here on Misplaced Pages I need help with the page, I hope for your cooperation with this improvement. As an introduction to this cooperation, feel free to read this note on my talk page:

http://en.wikipedia.org/User_talk:Anna_Quist#Message_to_all_anarchists_on_Wikipedia_-_Anarchy_is_cooperation_without_coercion.2Fdestruction.2Fdeletion_-_about_the_deletion_of_the_AI-Wiki-page_and_cooperation_to_achieve_an_updated_AI-page_with_general_Wiki-consent .

Any contribution, matter of fact criticism, to give input and advice, or even contribute to new sections, will be helpful, and is much appreciated. Please join in the project...
