Speedy deletion of Joanna shari
A tag has been placed on Joanna shari, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as the Misplaced Pages:Business' FAQ for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. TN‑X-Man 19:41, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Umberto Branchini
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Umberto Branchini, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.ibhof.com/branchini.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 04:58, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

- The tone you just used on my talkpage was completely uncalled for!
- I listed the URLs that appear to be the source of most, if not all the sentences on the Marc Ratner article in the proposal for speedy deletion:
- Furthermore, almost *all* of the articles you created seem to contain content taken from websites in violation of copyright.
- If you disagree, place the hangon template on the article page and explain on the talk page of the article why, in your opinion, the text was not taken in violation of copyright, just as it says in the box on Marc Ratner.
- Amalthea (talk) 17:47, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
- Oh please. says "© 2005 - 2008 MMA Universe. All rights reserved.", the paragraph starting with "His last official duty with the" is an exact copy from the page, and even if a website doesn't state that its content is under some sort of copyright, you still can't add it to wikipedia: It has to be released into the public domain, or be licensed unter the GFDL or something equivalent.

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Newsboy Brown has been reverted. Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Misplaced Pages. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Misplaced Pages. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: 'tripod\.com' (link(s): http://members.tripod.com/ http://members.tripod.com/ http://members.tripod.com/ http://members.tripod.com/) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thorougly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. Please read Misplaced Pages's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Re: Marc Ratner
It looks like it's been solved now. I'm not sure if you've written this on other sites, but there was a copyright violation. The user pointed to this page- notice that the section below the line is identical to the first paragraph of the version of the article that was marked for deletion. It's been removed now, so it should be okay. JeremyMcCracken (talk) (contribs) 19:19, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Willie Joyce article
You created an article for the name 'Willie joyce'; the correct setup for that sort of miscapitalization is to use a redirect to the correct capitalization at Willie Joyce. I have redirected that page now. See Help:Redirects for instructions on how to do it yourself when the need arises. — Carl (CBM · talk) 18:03, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
George KO Chaney
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of George KO Chaney, and it appears to be very similar to another[REDACTED] page: George Chaney. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 02:55, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Notability of Harlem Tommy Murphy
A tag has been placed on Harlem Tommy Murphy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Misplaced Pages guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Stifle (talk) 18:12, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Boxrec links
Glad to see another boxing enthusiast editing. A couple style issues, though. Why do you change the links to Boxrec.com on boxers' pages? It looks much better as, for instance "Boxing record for Reallmmablogger from BoxRec (registration required)" rather than http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=13693&cat=boxer&pageID=3, don't you think? Also, I don't think it's Wiki style to refer to the subjects by their first name.MKil (talk) 18:17, 29 July 2008 (UTC)MKil
- The confrontational tone of your post on my talk page is unwarranted and a violation of Wiki etiquette. Furthermore, your reversion to the Belanger page undid my work to improve it. As the Wiki Manual of Style points out, "Do not use lists if a passage reads easily using plain paragraphs."
- I applaud your enthusiasm to add to the boxing pages here. However, your entries need a lot of clean up to make them into good Misplaced Pages articles. If you get angry when people try and clean them up (and it seems I'm not the only one you have clashed with) then you need to realize that you don't own the articles you create and they will be edited.MKil (talk) 15:23, 30 July 2008 (UTC)MKil
- As far as the Tyson Wrestlemania incident goes, I removed it because it is a very trivial event in Tyson's career and giving that much space to it in the Tyson article is ridiculous. Wiki is not here to be a comprehensive biography. It should not catalog every little event in someone's life.MKil (talk) 15:27, 30 July 2008 (UTC)MKil
- On my talk page you said, "But you are not justified by deciding what should be in someone article or not. If you continue to re edit the profile I will continue to fix them have a nice day." My edits to the Belanger article were to clean it up and bring it into line with the guidelines of the Manual of Style. Simply reverting these edits as you did without any reason given is unjustified. If you think I left info out, then go ahead and restore it. But to revert to a version that is little more than three lists is destroying an improvement of the article.MKil (talk) 11:56, 31 July 2008 (UTC)MKil
- I just undid your change to Mike Tyson again. For one thing, you completely undid MKil's change, which had a whole lot of other improvements in it, for another I agree that a lengthy description of his Wrestlemania appearance seemed too much. MKil shortened and moved the appearance info to a more fitting place. Amalthea (talk) 14:39, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
- ETA: And also, why did you revert my change to Manning Galloway and reintroduced your copyright violation of ? --Amalthea (talk) 14:43, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

There is no copyroght for Manning Galloway The article is written my own words not a copyright. Also I fixed the Mike Tyson page. Thank You Reallmmablogger (talk) 14:50, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
- Copying the content from and changing a couple of words is by no means "written my own words", it's a copyright violation. And as I just saw, you did the same to Billy Soose, and changed Mike Tyson to some in between state?
- I will have to give you a warning for your disruptive edits. If you continue to willfully introduce copyright violations, you will be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. --Amalthea (talk) 15:05, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
August 2008
Please stop assuming ownership of articles such as Young Corbett II. Doing so may lead to disruptive behavior such as edit wars and is a violation of policy, which may lead to a block from editing. The same goes for Charley Belanger and others as well. Amalthea (talk) 15:07, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
- I also have to question why you undid my edits of Young Corbett II. I actually turned what was little more than a list of opponents into a narrative article and supplied references and categories. Do you really think the version to which you reverted is superior or are you doing this just out of spite?MKil (talk) 15:48, 1 August 2008 (UTC)MKil
- I checked your Mike Tyson edit again and I reacted a bit too strong, I see now that you didn't just revert again, but tried to find some compromise. I didn't initially notice because some of MKil's other edits were still undone, and his Wrestlemania information was also still in.
I put some of your info back to give a bit more context, I hope that everyone can live with that. I'd say that further discussion about that topic should go to Talk:Mike Tyson.
Furthermore, I very much appreciate that you expand a lot of boxing articles with infoboxes. Just please try to work with other editors on them. If articles are flagged with cleanup templates, it usually is for the good of the article, because they attract other editors who can further improve it. If you feel that a tag is misplaced and you remove it, at least state your reason in the edit summary. And please, try to take care not to violate copyright in the future.
Cheers, Amalthea (talk) 16:08, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
