Template:Forgotten Realms Deity
In the Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game Kor is the fictional god of wisdom in the Al-Qadim campaign setting that is set within the Forgotten Realms campaign setting. In the Land of Fate box set he is described as one of the so-called eight Great Gods of the fictional continent of Zakhara and as preaching, that wisdom stems from age, and wisdom brings strength. Kor's symbol is a sunburst.
The setting depicts Kor as an old and grey-haired but strong man, whose advice is sought by gods and mortals alike. Like other Zakharan gods, he is above such concerns as alignment, as wisdom may be sought by an altruistic healer as well as by an evil leader of holy slayers. His faith places value in stability, order and tradition. Seeking the advice of one's elders and learning from one's mistakes are very important to his followers.
Old Kor is mainly venerated by ethoists. Centers of his worship are the fictional cities of Dihliz, Hawa, Huzuz, Jumlat, Liham, Muluk, Qadib, Rog'osto, Umara and Wasat.
