Languages of Finland
Thanks for your constructive edit to Languages of Finland. Unfortunately it was reverted by an editor who seems to be editing Misplaced Pages mainly to push his own nationalistic agenda. I've reinserted your edit and commented upon it at the talk page of the article. Keep up the good work! JdeJ (talk) 02:08, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for your support. I am, of course, aware of (and agree with) the exceptional nature of these brackets, but I had hoped the reason for this exception would be clear enough to anyone. -- Jao (talk) 06:55, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

2008 ISSF World Cup Final (shotgun)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of 2008 ISSF World Cup Final (shotgun), and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: 2008 ISSF World Cup Final (rifle and pistol). It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 21:20, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Whitelisting
Shooting one is now done so should be ok. Apologies for the delay - we seem to be short of staff in that area! Cheers --Herby 10:38, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
- Works fine now, great! Thank you, and don't worry about the delay. -- Jao (talk) 10:45, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
re: Ancient revert at Russia and the United Nations
- A reply to a question at Uncle Scrooge's talk page
No problem; the revert was just part of a bigger editorial conflict during which Miyokan removed several sections that didn't fit with his idea of "the history of the Russian Nation", consequently I reverted all of his edits. Please, feel free to remove it ;) Uncle Scrooge (talk) 23:17, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
- All right, thank you. -- Jao (talk) 04:53, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
Olympic highlights
Hi Jao. I noticed you removed the gymnastics bit from August 12. I added it especially because the US not at all expected to medal, and the Chinese were under extreme pressure to win. Also, if this is not worthy of inclusion in the article, why do we list stuff like, "Norway qualifies for the quarterfinals of the women's football tournament with a 1–0 win over New Zealand" or other seemingly routine scores? Thanks, Fang Aili 20:17, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Track template
Just to say good idea about sorting the less important events from the more standard track events. I added a few sprinting ones but the information on them is minimal anyway. Good job. Sillyfolkboy (talk) 13:52, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
Trouble with reversions in List of stripped Olympic medals
Jao, I'm not a big Wikipedian, so I'm asking for help in keeping an eye on List of stripped Olympic medals. Someone has twice incorrectly moved Rick DeMont's name from "stripped" to "stripped-and-returned." Would appreciate any help in the matter. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.238.17.164 (talk) 23:59, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I've noticed that bit keeps getting confused. The list is on my watchlist, so I'll revert it as soon as I see it happening, if it happens again. -- Jao (talk) 00:21, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
