Welcome to Misplaced Pages. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. A Roads
Hi, I just wanted to know why you think the A roads you deleted are not notable. Please see the notability guidelines in Misplaced Pages:Notability. There are many published sources covering these A roads from mapping web sites like Google Maps and Multimap. In addition they are shown in all UK motoring atlases and local maps like the A-Z publications. These are all independent sources and are reliable. If you disagree, I am happy to seek the opinions on other editors on this. Rawclaw (talk) 18:11, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Actually, notability guidelines for roads aren't fully fleshed out yet. You might like to contribute to the discussion at: Misplaced Pages talk:Notability (Transportation), though so far, it looks like road types like A-roads are deemed inherently notable. Rawclaw (talk) 12:06, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Please stop effectively deleting articles by converting them to redirects. There is a long-standing consensus that all GB A-roads are notable. Saga City (talk) 12:28, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for your comments on Talk:A4018 road. It's an interesting theory that if a subject does not call for a long article it indicates that it does not merit one at all, but I don't think that many editors would agree with you. If that's what you really think, then I suggest that you repropose the article for deletion, and also debate your views on notability at Misplaced Pages talk:Notability (Transportation), as suggested above. I hope that you will feel able to abide by the consensus. Mhockey (talk) 13:50, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Use of talk-page tempates
User warning templates are designed for clear vandalism or breach of policy. Misuse of such templates if you dispute the addition or removal of some content with another editor may be considered disruptive. Disruptive editing prevents the improvement of the encyclopedia and may result in blocks from editing. Please instead assume good faith, and try and address the concerns of editors. Thank you for your message on my talk page. I have replied to your message and would be grateful if you'd continue the discussion on my talk page. Ian¹³/t 12:13, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Please stop reverting B roads
There is no specific consensus in these controversial cases to redirect these pages. Please may I ask you to cease doing so, and instead discuss changes on the talk page. If you continue to delete the page content without discussion, you could be blocked for disruptive editing. Ian¹³/t 12:17, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Misplaced Pages's blocking policy for violating the three-revert rule at A4232 road ( ). Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. Ian¹³/t 16:01, 3 September 2008 (UTC)- If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Request reason:
Requesting an additional block for User:Seth Whales, who refused to engage in positive dialogue on the talk page when invited, and did not provide suitable reasons for duplicating information in the article.
Decline reason:
User:Seth Whales does not appear to have violated WP:3RR, and also attempted to discuss this with you at Talk:A4232_road#Junction_names_etc., referencing the information he had already found at Talk:A4232_road#Junction_names about the issue. -- Natalya 16:36, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
