HTML and wikicode help

Hi, I noticed your comments on your userpage about html and editing pages. Just thought I'd extend an open offer of assistance on those two subjects. Another place to check is Misplaced Pages:Help desk.

I'm experienced in the areas of vandal-fighting, and spend most of my time here in RC Patrol and New Page Patrol. Well, I was just thinking about asking you about Misplaced Pages:OR, to see if I have it right. It's basically if the source doesn't state it, it may be original research, right? itzjustdrama (talk) 16:31, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

Basically anything you add to an article needs to have some sort of reliable source to show it's not just something that was made up, or your personal opinion, etc. The sources you use also should be neutral to the topic, and of course the more sources you can find to back it up, the better. Do you think the Katsura Hoshino article has enough citation to remove the {{nofootnotes}} tag? But I believe the {{refimprove}} still belongs there. Itzjustdrama 18:28, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Yes the reason that it was identified as vandalism was because it doesnt make any sense at all and also you have simply copied and pasted it from another site which is clearly a copyright violation. ChristopherJames2008 (talk) 19:59, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

Thats no problem. We get many people who just copy and paste from the internet and dont remember that it might be copyrighted. I know I shouldnt have put it as vandalism that was wrong of me and I appologise for that. It was on a translated page so im not sure what the exact website is. Butting in

Feel free to butt in anytime! I am so new here I could use all the help I can get. I took your suggestion in keeping the same passwords for the accounts (I did have different passwords), only to find out that I don't have an account on MetaWiki (my other account is Misplaced Pages Commons), where the whole unified account thingy is and that's why oh wait I should be explaining this to Wildthing61476.............
