The "ballon d'or" is a Football award, created in 1956 by the french football magazine "France Football". Today it's certainly one of the most respected award a player can earn.
It rewards each year the best player, playing in europeans clubs, based on his perfomances in nationals and internationals competitions through one year.
The judges are a set of Europeans football journalists.
