We apologize for not sending out our August newsletter, we have tried to cover some events of the month in this issue.

The playoffs have started! The Dodgers and Phillies have won their respective Division Series and will face off in the NL Championship Series. Both series in the American League have yet to be finished. Show your support for your favorite teams by keeping up with their season pages!

• October 7, 2000 - Juventud Guerrera arrested following a drug induced rage in Australia and is fired by WCW
• October 8, 2001 - Steve Austin defeated Kurt Angle for the WWF Heavyweight Championship.
• October 9, 2002 - Syxx-Pac won a seven-man ladder match for the vacant NWA-TNA X Divsion Championship.
• October 12, 1992 - Bret Hart defeated Ric Flair for the WWF Heavyweight Championship.

• On October 14, Lance Cade (Lance McNaught) was released from his World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) contract.
• On October 21, High Chief Peter Maivia's widow, Leah, died aged 81.
• On October 23:
  • TNA broadcasted Impact! live in high definition; it also held Impact! in a different arena other than the TNA Impact! Zone.
  • Also on Impact!, Booker T (Robert Huffman) debuted the newly established Legends Championship into TNA and, in storyline, awarded himself the title.
  • Awesome Kong (Kia Stevens) defeated Taylor Wilde (Shantelle Malawski) to win the TNA Women's Knockout Championship on Impact!.
