The Venus Project is a social, cultural and technological proposal which aims to create a society free from the problems inherent in current global systems. Created by Jacque Fresco, the project has a 25-acre research centre in Florida. Fundamental to the project is the elimination of the current monetary-based economy, and the creation of a purely resource-based economy, as well as a focus on the improvement on technologies.
