Good article news Antonio Pugliese, Hard Justice (2008), Hardy Boyz, Hornswoggle, King of the Ring (1993), Lisa Moretti, Mike Lockwood, No Mercy (2003), No Mercy (2007), Rhonda Sing, Royal Rumble (1995), WrestleMania XI, and WrestleMania XXIV are currently Good article nominees. Other project news TNA Bound for Glory (review page) is currently under Peer Review. McMahon (documentary) has been proposed to be merged with Vince McMahon, the discussion can be found here. October 16, 1997 - Bam Bam Bigelow (Scott Bigelow) defeated Shane Douglas (Troy Martin) for the ECW Heavyweight title. October 16, 2003 - Stu Hart died of pneumonia at the age of 88. October 19, 2003 - Road Warrior Hawk (Michael Hegstrand) died of a heart attack at the age of 46. October 20, 1964 - Mad Dog Vachon (Maurice Vachon) defeated Verne Gagne for the AWA World Heavyweight Championship. October 20, 2000 - World Championship Wrestling, in storyline, fired Bret Hart due to his incapacitating injury and his announced retirement. October 20, 2002 - Triple H (Paul Levesque) defeated Kane (Glen Jacobs) to unify the WWE and Intercontinental titles. October 21, 2001 - Chris Jericho defeated The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) to win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. October 22, 2000 - Kurt Angle defeated The Rock to win the WWF Championship. October 23, 2000 - Yokozuna (Rodney Anoa'i) died of a heart attack at the age of 34. It still would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help expand and/or source an article or two. On October 13, Johnny Devine (John Parsonage) was released from his Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) contract. On October 14, Lance Cade (Lance McNaught) was released from his World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) contract. On October 21, High Chief Peter Maivia's widow, Leah, died aged 81. On October 23: TNA broadcasted Impact! live in high definition; it also held Impact! in a different arena other than the TNA Impact! Zone. Also on Impact!, Booker T (Robert Huffman) debuted the newly established Legends Championship into TNA and, in storyline, awarded himself the title. Awesome Kong (Kia Stevens) defeated Taylor Wilde (Shantelle Malawski) to win the TNA Women's Knockout Championship on Impact!. Collaboration The Collaboration has recently been revamped, and we will now have 6 collaborations at a time. The current collaborations will stand until they reach a certain goal, e.g. Good article status. On the calendar: For the month of November: 9 - TNA presents Turning Point 15 - Rakez's birthday 15 - Ericystephi's birthday 20 - Batmanrules677's birthday 23 - WWE presents Survivor Series Recent Wrestling News Conrad Efraim, better known as "Special Delivery Jones", died in Antigua on October 26, 2008, following a stroke he suffered two days prior. At Cyber Sunday, Batista defeated Chris Jericho to win the World Heavyweight Championship. On the October 27 episode of Raw CM Punk and Kofi Kingston won the World Tag Team titles by defeating Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes. DH Smith and TJ Wilson won the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship on October 30. On the November 3 episode of Raw: Mike Adamle resigned from his position as General Manager of the Raw brand. Chris Jericho defeated Batista in a Steel cage match to win the World Heavyweight Championship for the second time. Super Crazy was released from World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on November 5.
