Gennady S. Osipov (born October, 13, 1948) is a Russian scientist, Ph.D., Dr.Sci., in Computer Sciences, Information technologies and Artificial Intelligence. He is also the vice-president of Institute for Systems Analysis of Russian Academy of Sciences, professor at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University), and at Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Osipov has contributed to the Theory of Dynamic Intelligent Systems and heterogeneous semantic networks used in Applied Intelligent Systems.
History
President of Russian Association for Artificial Intelligence - he was elected for 7-th time.
In 1997-1999, 1999-2001, 2001-2003 Gennady Osipov has got Governmental Grants for Outstanding Scholars by a Decree of the President of Russian Federation.
Gennady Osipov has been included in 27th Edition of Dictionary of international Biography, International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, England.
Osipov is a member of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences,
Member of Academy of Astronautics of Tsiolkovsky,
Fellow of European Coordinating Committee for Artificial Intelligence (ECCAI fellow),
Vice-editor in chief of journal “Artificial Intelligence and Decision Making”.
Work
Osipov`s work in Knowledge Acquisition fields have resulted Direct Knowledge Acquisition Method which integrated Knowledge Acquisition Methods from date, from texts and from human experts.
In 1998 Osipov has designed the Theory of Dynamic Intelligent System, investigated behaviour of Dynamic Intelligent System, and described of classes of this types Systems.
To Osipov belongs relational-situational model of text analysis, which used in semantic search Engine.
He is the author of 120 articles, 5 monographs, 2 manuals, 2 patents.
One of the patents he has got on the Semantic search Engine EXACTUS
In 2008 in Russian Search Engine competition EXACTUS took first place by precision and completeness.
