My name is Katie and I hail from Western New York. I am a senior at SUNY Fredonia, and I am studying history and languages. I am interested in South Africa and the Muslim world, and am currently taking Arabic. I have taken French, Spanish, and German classes, and would like to learn more of the languages of South Africa. I have a site on Yahoo GeoCities, and I have no idea how to link to the additional pages I have written into the homepage. For a look:

Need help!!

I'm trying to expand the Simple English Misplaced Pages. The Mandela article there has about five lines. If anyone feels inspired, work on it or create some of the pages I'm trying to start.

Also, can someone help me with these articles I've started right here on the English Misplaced Pages?

Quotes I like

"Without language, one cannot talk to people and understand them; one cannot share their hopes and aspirations, grasp their history, appreciate their poetry, or savor their songs. I again realized that we were not different people with separate languages; we were one people, with different tongues." -- From Long Walk to Freedom by Nelson Mandela
