Please be aware that in general an article should not have two categories where one category belongs to another. So, for example, an article doesn't need to be in Category:Cancer deaths in the United States if it is already in Category:Cancer deaths in Texas, because the latter belongs to the former. In other words, when categories are nested, only the most specific category should be used.
And Welcome!

Please stop adding unneeded categories, as you did here. Category:Cancer deaths in Alabama belongs to Category:Cancer deaths in the United States. In other words, you can't die of cancer in Alabama without dying of cancer in the US, so only the former (known as a child category) should be assigned to and article-- the parent category is redundant. Let me know if you're not clear on this. Thanks, -- Mwanner | Talk 19:11, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
Your edits adding random categories to biographical articles are being reverted as vandalism. If you continue editing in this manner, you will be blocked. D.D.J.Jameson 19:55, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
If you wish to retain your editing privileges, you must be more careful with your addition of categories. Examples of problems in your edits:
- In Pope_John_Paul_I, you added both Category:Deaths from cardiovascular disease and Category:Infectious disease deaths in Vatican City, while the article makes clear that he died of myocardial infarction, i.e., a heart attack. That is not an infectious disease.
- You did something similar on Pope Paul VI, where you added Category:Infectious disease deaths in Italy, while he died of "a massive heart attack"-- not an infectious disease.
- In Pope John XXIII, you added Category:Deaths by myocardial infarction, Category:Infectious disease deaths in Vatican City and Category:Deaths from cardiovascular disease; he died of stomach cancer.
I could go on, but the picture is much the same. You are causing considerable work for editors coming along behind you having to undo your work. Please stop. No one wants to block you, but that is where this will end if you are not more careful. -- Mwanner | Talk 22:33, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, maybe you think that myocardial infarction is a kind of infection? It isn't. Take a look at the article. The two words (infarction, infection) just sound the same, but they're completely unrelated. Also, once again, Category:Deaths from cardiovascular disease and Category:Deaths by heart failure should never appear in the same article-- the latter 'belongs to the former, so if the death is by heart attack, only Category:Deaths by heart failure should be used. -- Mwanner | Talk 23:58, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. The recent edit you made to Democratic Party (United States) presidential primaries, 2012 has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Please stop making test edits to Misplaced Pages. It is considered vandalism, which, under Misplaced Pages policy, can lead to blocking of editing privileges. Block warning
Your edits are being discussed at WP:AN#Disruptive IP editing. You've engaged in a revert war at Lyndon B. Johnson. (See WP:Edit warring). If you continue the type of edit you've been making you will likely be blocked. You've never filled in the Edit Summary field to explain what you are doing, and you've never posted a comment to a Talk page. Please be aware that there's not much time left. You may post your own response at WP:AN if you wish to do so. EdJohnston (talk) 23:03, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Misplaced Pages's blocking policy for Disruptive editing. Incorrect cause of death for Lyndon B. Johnson, after it was already pointed out to you. Redundant category for James Monroe. Colin Powell was not a vice-presidential candidate in 2008. Your behavior was reviously discussed at WP:AN. EdJohnston (talk) 12:40, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Regarding your edits at Eric Shinseki and Colin Powell, you seem to be adding clearly incorrect information to the articles despite requests for citations. Since this is apparently a long term problem with you, please consider this a final warning. Thanks. Kuru 18:28, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

United States Election Maps
Thank you for contributing to Misplaced Pages. It is the policy of Misplaced Pages to use scalable, vector images in the SVG format over raster images like GIF, JPG and BMP. You have repeatedly replaced vector images of electoral maps with limited resolution raster images, despite repeated warnings. Future edits along these lines will continue to be reverted promptly, so please spare everyone the effort. US Presidential & Vice Presidential candidates
Please stop adding Presidential & Vice Presidential Nominees stuff, to those articles Infoboxes. Presidential Nominee & Vice Presidential Nominee are not an offices. GoodDay (talk) 21:15, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
Junior/Senior Senator
Please read the hidden note that you have inexplicably removed twice from Kirsten Gillibrand - it is a pointer to Template talk: Infobox Officeholder which explains that the field is no longer active, but needs to remain there for now until the template is re-written. The hidden note that you removed is there so that editors will understand why the words aren't displaying. Please leave it there until it is no longer valid. Tvoz/talk 08:06, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
US prez election articles
Howdy. You should be discussing your reasons, as to why you feel Ralph Nader should be added to the 1996, 2000, 2004 & 2008 US prez election article Infoboxes. GoodDay (talk) 17:25, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Recommend you stop what you're doing, or risk being blocked. GoodDay (talk) 17:27, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Why Ralph Nader should be included in United States presidential elections
I feel Ralph Nader should be involved in United States presidential election, 2000, 2004 and 2008 and possibly 2012 because he is a great politician and is considered popular around the United States. He also finished third place behind the losing nominee in those particular elections. I just want to update that particular note. He also of course does not participate in United States presidential election debates, obviously. Darren Monaghan User talk:82.4.220.242 17:36, February 13, 2009.
- That's not a good enough reason, to simply add him to the Infoboxes, without discussing on those articles discussion pages. You're additions are only gonna be reverted. GoodDay (talk) 18:03, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
- Why are you bringing it up at the talk-page of the United States presidential election, 1992 article? Bring it up at the 2000, 2004, 2008 US prez articles. GoodDay (talk) 18:30, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
I just feel that Ralph Nader should be included in these three elections as he finished third to each losing nominee. It says so in the results table. Check it out, please. Darren Monaghan, User:82.4.220.242, 00:00, 13 February, 2009.
- But as you can see, not all editors "feel" the same. Edit warring instead of using the talk pages (of the articles)just get's you blocked. Try the 2008 talk page for starters as more editors pay attention to your intent.--The Magnificent Clean-keeper (talk) 00:09, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. US Presidential election articles
Please stop putting in bold the popular vote winner in each presidential election article. There is an ongoing discussion on this issue. If you continue to putting in bold the popular vote winners before a consensus is reached, you will be blocked from editing. Timmeh! 19:23, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
The winners of the presidential elections were wrote in bold before, and I just thought it would be okay if I could put it back the way it was because I liked it the way it was before when the winners of the presidential elections were put in bold. I am sure that a high majority of other editors and users of Misplaced Pages feel the same. Please unblock me, and I promise I will not make any other changes that are not revelant. Please stop putting in bold the popular vote winner, States carried, and percentage of the vote in each presidential election article. There is an ongoing discussion on this issue. Also please refrain from adding redundant info such as you did in the United States presidential election, 1936 article. There was no need for your addition (President, Franklin D. Roosevelt of New York won re-election to his second term, defeating, Governor, Alf Landon of Kansas. Kansas didn't go for Landon. He lost his home state.) this info is already clearly laid out in the info box and electoral map. I have reverted almost all of your edits due to there nonconstructive nature. This has led to a waste of your time and more importantly mine. If you continue putting info box material in bold before a consensus is reached, you will be blocked from editing. United States presidential election articles
Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
...and please keep this part in mind: Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. --The Magnificent Clean-keeper (talk) 23:19, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

I have rights to edit pages on Misplaced Pages. I am sick of you blocking me. What have I done that is so wrong that I deserve to be blocked. The pages of the United States presidential elections in each state in 2008, I just thought that the Image (Barack Obama.jpg) image would make more sense as the candidate image, as that was his image when he ran for President of the United States. Barack Obama was not President when he ran for office. Please unblock me and I will do anything you want. If I do anything wrong, you just let me know and I will stop. I swear to God. Please just give me one more chance. Thank you.
