Born in Pakistan on 10 August 1980, Sehr spent her first 20 years in Karachi, Pakistan before moving to Boston, MA to study. Her desire to represent Pakistan on an international level stemmed from her desire to help evolve Pakistan as a whole. "The pageant was a first for me, and all in all was an amazing experience. This pageant is a great platform which gives Pakistani women the opportunity to emerge as a voice for their community and address issues that need to be dealt with."
Sehr Mahmood went on to compete and win in the Miss Earth 2006 pageant held in Manila, Philippines as well as Queen of the World in 2006.
Sehr Mahmood had just completed her honors degree in Economics at the time of her crowning and following the crowning she has completed her MBA in Finance at The Schulich School of Business at York University.
In addition to winning numerous Pageants, Sehr has been involved in the community being the face of many modeling agencies and make-up artists. Currently found in many Editions of the Kismet and Suhaag Magazines.
In 2009, Sehr was chosen to be in a commericial aired at Indian Cinema's for The Voice Weekly Newspaper which can be seen across the nation. Also, Sehr was chosen to host a show which can be viewd on Rogers later this year.
