Born in Pakistan on 10 August 1980, Sehr spent her first 20 years in Karachi, Pakistan before moving to Boston, MA to study. Her desire to represent Pakistan on an international level stemmed from her desire to help evolve Pakistan as a whole. "The pageant was a first for me, and all in all was an amazing experience. This pageant is a great platform which gives Pakistani women the opportunity to emerge as a voice for their community and address issues that need to be dealt with."

Sehr Mahmood went on to compete in the Miss Earth 2006 pageant held in Manila, Philippines as well as Queen of the World in 2006. Sehr Mahmood had just completed her honors degree in Economics at the time of her crowning and is now looking to gain her MBA in finance.
