Sorry Webster, I don't accept self-requests, unless they've done something pretty damned notable enough; here-average-everyday vandal-fighting doesn't satisfy that. If you want a day, another user will have to request it for you (and please don't ask another user to request it for you, that's just cheating). I'm probably not the best person to ask, but Misplaced Pages:Abuse filter describes it fairly well (technical details at bug 15684). Basically, administrators with the abuse filter editor flag get to create and edit filters—they can then set specific actions taken by the filter, such as block, warn, disallow, remove autoconfirmed status, etc. The code, however, is far above my head. –Juliancolton |  23:34, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
