The Berber (also called Amazigh, -it mean a free men- pl. Imazighen) are a predominantly Muslim ethnic group living in northern Africa . They descend primarily from Middle Eastern migrants who entered the region thousands of years ago and also from the native black African population which inhabited the central Sahara prior to its desiccation.
The Berber is a horse breed developed by the Berber people.
