35 Squadron SAAF is a squadron of the South African Air Force. It is currently a maritime patrol and transport squadron.

Motto: Shaya Amanzi (Strike the Water)
First formed: 2 February 1945
Historic aircraft flown: Catalina, Sunderland GR 5, Harvard, Spitfire, Oxford, Ventura, Shackleton MR3, C-47 Dakota.
Current aircraft flown: C-47TP "Turbo Dakota".
Current base: AFB Ysterplaat, Cape Town.
Award for Best Permanent Flying Unit in the SAAF for both 2004 and 2005

The squadron was formed in February 1945 when 262 Squadron Royal Air Force, an anti-submarine squadron operating the Consolidated Catalina was transferred to the South African Air Force.
