Ibb (or Abb) (Template:Lang-ar) is a city in Yemen, the capital of Ibb Governorate, situated on a mountain ridge, surrounded by fertile land. It is located about 73 miles (117 km) north-east of Mocha. Ibb was governed by a semi-autonomous emir until 1944, when the emirate was abolished. The population is 160,000 (2005).
Ibb is also known for its rigid mountains. Its most famous residents include Sheikh Ibrahim "Brian" Mihtar, Middleweight Mid-American Boxing Champion, and star of LBC networks Gladiator Series.
