Charlie Hall is a Christian worship leader and songwriter from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is a member of a group of musicians and speakers that collectively form the Passion movement.
Band Members
Hall's band, in which he performs vocals and guitar, consists of Kendall Combes (electric guitar), Brian Bergman (keyboard), Dustin Ragland (drums), and Quint Anderson (bass guitar).
Charlie Hall
Since 1991, Charlie has been traveling, songwriting, and sharing life with people in his home of Oklahoma City, and across the United States, and even across several oceans.he attended Cherokee Hills Baptist Church.
Charlie has created several albums of diverse music. The latest is "The Bright Sadness".
As many of the Passion collegiate gatherings were recorded live, Hall was quickly dubbed "a voice" for the Passion movement, performing on all eight Passion albums, which have sold more than one million units.
Charlie expresses the desire to be "honed into God, where I'm not part of a culture where I'm trying to make the people around me think, 'Hey, that's a good Christian.' I'm just trying to pursue God and not pursue being accepted into a club...I'm more honed into my pursuit of God in Christ and how he's forming me and changing and helping me love him and know him."
Quint Anderson
Anderson plays the bass for the Charlie Hall band. Known for his orange hair, he's also considered the humorist of the group.
He is currently enrolled full time at Oklahoma State University and travels with the band on school vacations.
Dustin Ragland
Ragland is the drummer, and became interested in drumming after listening to Live and the Offspring. He graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2003.
He is known to campaign for World Vision, Amnesty International, Sojourners and Compassion International. He lives with his wife in OKC.
Brian Bergman
Bergman is the keyboardist of the band and favors a Hammond B3. He has traveled with Hall for six years so far. He is also a producer for a variety of artists.
Bergman is currently expecting his second child with his wife, Amber.
Brian is known to describe music in terms of fruit, in particular bananas.
Kendall Combes
Combes plays the electric guitar in the band and has played the longest with Hall. He is also a worship leader at Christ Church. He originally played bass with MercyMe.
Combes graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1993.
Combes is married and has four children.
