Nagendra Karri (born on November 28, 1982) is an Indian-American Filmmaker and Screenwriter who resides and works primarily in United States. His movies are known to be Suspense Thrillers and Crime Dramas set in different backgrounds. He received critical acclaim for his debut feature 'Where are you Sophia?' which has been premiered in Marche Du Film Market in Cannes 2009. Nagendra Karri is a Computer Science graduate from Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon who gave up his plush six figure salary at a reputed Wall st firm, to go after his dream of movie making.
Born in a middle class family in a remote coastal town in Visakhapatnam,Andhra Pradesh (India), Karri's story is very inspiring of a young boy who made it to the door steps of Hollywood through sheer will power and god's grace. His next project "MOBSTER" which is due to be released in mid 2010 is currently in progress.
