Nagendra Karri (born November 28, 1982) is an Indian-American filmmaker and screenwriter who resides and works primarily in United States. His movies are primarily suspense thrillers and crime dramas.
Karri received critical acclaim for his debut feature Where are you Sophia? which premiered in Marche Du Film Market in 2009 Cannes Film Festival. Nagendra Karri is a Computer Science graduate from Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon who gave up a six figure salary on Wall Street to go after his dream of movie making.
He was born in a middle class family in a remote coastal town in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. His next project is the $30 million Mobster due for release mid 2010.
