Welcome!

Hello, Rmcnew, and welcome to Misplaced Pages! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. Socionics article

Hey man, I just wanted you to know that Misplaced Pages kind of frowns on self-promotion. I'm not saying I disagree with you, but that you promoted your ideas yourself is unacceptable. I'm going to revert you but don't take it seriously.... You don't see me promoting supersocionics here, do you? If I don't do this, others will, so just leave the metasocion link at the links page and... advertise elsewhere! Sorry, I really didn't want to have to do this.... Please understand. Tcaudilllg (talk) 05:37, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

I included a note next to the metasocion forums link about the alchemy stuff. ...If we had left that in there, they would have slapped the "alternative views" label back on the entire article. That would be make our job more difficult.... I want you to remember that rule though: never, ever self-promote yourself on Misplaced Pages. They've got strict policy on that and may ban you for it. (at the very least they won't tolerate it). Tcaudilllg (talk) 05:55, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

You are probably right. I went ahead and added what was in the socionics article to the new tattwa article, and put a link from there to that article from the socionics article. --Rmcnew (talk) 11:46, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Socionics (metaphysics) (disambiguation)

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Socionics (metaphysics) (disambiguation), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No reason for a disambiguation page to have a subpage.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Misplaced Pages is not" and Misplaced Pages's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.  Blanchardb -- timed 22:14, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

I originally created that page and deleted it because of the weird delete tag that was added. Why was it added to begin with? --Rmcnew (talk) 00:25, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Your "Idiots..." comment flagged up on my Anti-Vandal filter so I rolled the page back, but as you had blanked the page after that, my rollback took it back to before then. Please leave the page alone and I will mark it for speedy deletion.  ⊃°HotCROCODILE...... (talk) 00:42, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Edit summary

Hello. Before removing a large amount of information, like you did with Socionics, please leave a reason of why you did it. Or else, it probably will be reverted. Thanks, Airplaneman (talk) 19:14, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

OK, thanks. I did not know, so I'm sorry. Next time, would you please put it in the edit summary? Thanks --Airplaneman (talk) 19:19, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

Please start leaving edit summaries. They help editors who patrol edits a lot. Thanks, Airplaneman (talk) 00:30, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

...

If I don't stand up to you, people will look at me as though I shirk my principles. I'm not that kinda person. Tcaudilllg (talk) 17:07, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

I am completely indifferent to the fact you think you have to "stand up to me." I view my self as the anti-christ that keeps socionics real and the "sheep from settling". If no one else is going to take a stand a tell the truth about the origin of socionics, and the fact that I bothered to be the one person who takes a stand against "the socionic sheep who believe what they are told and never think for themselves" and that makes me the bad guy who "tells people how it is with socionics", I will be the bad guy who "tells it like it is."

All I know is that it is impossible for anyone to do any research into the matter and not eventually find the real truth. And so long as the "wolf is on the prowl" some people are going to be looking into the matter. Now, you can be the "dog that protects the sheep" all you want and attempt to shield some of this extremity, but I know you are in it for the truth as well. I am pretty sure you just want moderation in the matter. --Rmcnew (talk) 21:25, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Coming to the point

Could you explain, succinctly, what your thesis is on socionics? And can you find something that fits WP:RS that states this thesis? And is there any evidence that socionics as a whole is notable? Mangoe (talk) 18:01, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

My opinion on why the Socionics article deletion would potentially be a good thing taking the circumstances

First off I should probably state who I am. I am officially recognized in Russia and the United States as a practicing socionists. I studied Religion, Theology, Metaphysics, Biblical Languages, at a University in Texas for 4 years, and the German language at a University in Northern California for 3 years, where I had the opportunity to exchange to Tuebingen University in Tuebingen, Germany to study Theology, and improve my Greek. I have studied socionics since 2003 and was the owner of the largest english speaking socionics forum the16types.info since 2005 (bought from Jimmy Caretti) until I sold it in late 2008. Since that time I formed the forum metasocion.com in order to present socionics in its natural form, as I found the "the the16types.info" crowd to be both extremely ignorant and prejudiced against presenting socionics the way that the founders had originally presented it. You can see some of my socionic credentials below:

http://www.wikisocion.org/en/index.php?title=Reuben_McNew http://www.typelab.ru/en/1.begin/index.html http://www.socioniki.info/index.php/2008-11-05-20-39-51

It is my personal opinion that all socionics articles should be deleted until it is agreed by everyone that it is a good idea to give a neutral presentation of the origin of socionics that discusses its esoteric development and gives mention to the fact that esoteric interpretations of chakras, tattwas, and psychic energy and mysticism in general were the main basis that the founders of socionics based their theory upon, and that from this socionics was formulated and later "framed to appear to be something like Jung or MBTI" and that "mystical interpretations of socionics type theory have descended directly from the founders and exist to this day" and that "there is a split between those of the opinion that socionics is something empirical and that socionics is something mystical." The multitude of sources that have been presented have already shown this. However, taking that there are people who would rather take unneutral views of socionics and present socionics in a way contrary to its origin I would be in favor of deleteing all socionics articles. I think that those who are opposed to an esoteric presentation of socionics should either come to terms that it would be correct to allow some information in some form to neutrally portray socionics esoteric background or to be content with the deletion of the whole of all of the information. --Rmcnew (talk) 20:42, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

I linked to the tattwas article in the appropriate context. The best thing you can do is to find at least three sources for the assertion that there is a link. Tcaudilllg (talk) 17:58, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

Last warning

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, as you did to User:Bearian, you will be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. Another user is not allowed to edit another user's page, except to delete tags or vandalism. Editing another user's space is considered vandalism and a serious breach of etiquette. Bearian (talk) 21:51, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

How in the world is posting a publicly viewable message concerning my opinion on the talk page vandalism? --Rmcnew (talk) 21:55, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
You have posted it in multiple places, on user pages rather than user talk, and included nearly all of your talk page as well. You should have simply posted to the AfD, and posted a note saying you have posted there if you felt it necessary. Verbal chat 21:59, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

I see, yeah ... posting to the user pages were an accident. My apologies for that. --Rmcnew (talk) 22:04, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Could someone explain to me what other users are allowed to edit user pages at all? Tcaudilllg (talk) 19:07, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Bearian is not correct. Anyone is allowed to edit any page here, per WP:OWN. It's considered rather impolite to try and dictate what someone else's user page or user talk page will look like. It's certainly not considered "vandalism" by default.

Reverting vandalism on other people's pages is of course fine, and some users explicitly welcome certain types of edits to their user page. Editing people's user pages in ways they don't like though, is disruptive, so we avoid it. Also, since it's disruptive, we'll use blocks to stop it if asking the editor to stop fails.

Leaving another editor a level 4 warning because you didn't like their edit is absolutely not an example of civility. Giving any kind of template to an established user is kind of like begging a dispute to get ugly (or uglier). When we're at our best, we avoid it. -GTBacchus 23:37, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

socionics AN/I discussion

you may wish to comment on the newly created administrator's noticeboard incident discussion regarding the conduct of User:Tcaudilllg and User:Rmcnew in relation to the page socionics, located here. Thanks. Niffweed17, Destroyer of Chickens (talk) 03:14, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

I find that sort of hypocritical and oxymoronic taking that you are the one who causes the most trouble about these sort of things the vast majority of the time. --Rmcnew (talk) 20:09, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

Hey, Rmcnew, could you please refrain from re-inserting information in that article until we reach consensus? If these reverts continue, the page will be protected, and I guarantee it will be protected in the wrong version. This isn't really negotiable. Nobody has the right to keep their version live during a dispute. Please don't create a situation where I have to protect the page. -GTBacchus 23:39, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
I don't understand your note on my talk page about "slander" and "libel". I would, however, direct you to WP:NLT, which is a policy that we tend to take very seriously. If you have a legal issue of any kind, get a lawyer, who will advise you not to talk about it publicly on Misplaced Pages, for your own good. -GTBacchus 16:24, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

another AN/I discussion

Hello, Rmcnew. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Niffweed17, Destroyer of Chickens (talk) 08:40, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

The ANI discussion is here. It is claimed there that the recent AfD discussion for Socionics found a need for restructuring and improvement in accordance with the existing verifiable sources on the topic. An editor has claimed at ANI that your presence in the discussion is preventing the desirable changes. The same person says that there has been 'name calling' in the discussion. You could respond, if you wish, by expressing your willingness to cooperate in making whatever changes are favored by the consensus of editors. It would also help if you would urge courteous behavior by all editors. EdJohnston (talk) 02:08, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Gregory Reinin

A tag has been placed on Gregory Reinin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Misplaced Pages:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Speedy deletion nomination of Alexander Bukalov

A tag has been placed on Alexander Bukalov, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Misplaced Pages:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Speedy deletion nomination of Alexander Bukalov

A tag has been placed on Alexander Bukalov requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Misplaced Pages guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mamaberry11 (talk) 21:04, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

File source problem with File:Alexander Bukalov.jpg

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Alexander Bukalov.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Misplaced Pages:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:08, 18 August 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 21:08, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
