Revision as of 20:07, 21 September 2009

The following is a non-definitive list of the all-time highest-grossing films. Films that were released in the current year, 2009, are highlighted for convenience.

Worldwide highest-grossing films before inflation

See also: Lists of highest-grossing films

This list has more 2008 films than any other year with seven, followed by Template:Fy with six, then Template:Fy with five. Eighty percent of the films in the top 50 were released after Template:Fy, while no film prior to Template:Fy appears in the list because inflation, population size and ticket purchasing trends are not considered. Figures are given in United States dollars (USD). Because it is not adjusted for inflation, this list tends to favor films in recent years; an inflation-adjusted list can be found at List of highest-grossing films in the United States and Canada.
