According to reports, the soundtrack will feature a remixed version of the song "Oru Pakkam Paakkura" from the 1970 Tamil film Maattukaara Velan, composed by K. V. Mahadevan. Early reports, however, indicated, that the song "Marainthirinthu Paarkkum Marmam Enna" from Thillana Mohanambal would be remixed.

Production

The film was formally launched in November 2008 at the producers' office in Chennai.

Reportedly director Gautham Menon initially wanted to make a film, titled Surangani with Ajith Kumar and Sameera Reddy in the lead roles, but the film didn't take off as the title was already registered by Miracle Films.

Casting

Early reports indicated, that the film will feature actresses Meenakshi and Padampriya in the lead roles. However, eventually newcomer Madhu Varma and Lakshana, who had played supporting roles in films like Sivakasi as well as lead roles as in Eesa, were roped in for the roles. Also Meenu Karthika, a newcomer from Kerala, was roped in and will be playing an important role in the film.
