==The Jungle (1967 film)==
Thanks for your message. Since the last issue on my creating the 9-11 Film Festival entry came up, many months ago, I've made more than 500 edits (some very minor ones on old films . ..!) without any problem or "bot attacks". I was just editing that entry when the bot entry happened. I have added the Library of Congress press release on the 2009 nominations (which include the above-named film) to the National Film Registry as a link under References.

Important note -- in both cases (this one and 9-11 Film Festival) the Wiki-bot picked up an *unauthorized use* by *another website* not related to LofC, which allows fair use in articles about the National Film Registry nominations. (And the bot jumped in within seconds, before I was finished with the first edit.) Thanks again for reading this.

One Time image

Just wondering, why is File:Bieberonetimedance.jpg listed for deletion as it enhances the article by giving the reader a visual of Bieber performing the song. Candyo32 (talk) 17:16, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

It doesn't enhance the understanding of the article at all. All it shows is Bieber and his three back-up dancers. This image also fails part 1 of the Misplaced Pages:Non-free content criteria ("No free equivalent"). Surely a free alternative of him performing the song must be available? Theleftorium 17:23, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
Here's one: Theleftorium 17:25, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
No free equivalent exists that would effectively identify the article's subject Candyo32 (talk) 17:28, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
I provided you with one that's just as good (). I'm sure more free equivalents exist (or can be created). Theleftorium 17:34, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
However, the provided image is not of the select song. Candyo32 (talk) 17:41, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
How are you able to tell? Theleftorium 17:43, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
My mistake, I according to a news article he was performing the song. Candyo32 (talk) 17:46, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the vote of confidence, however misguided it may be. ;) — Hunter Kahn (c) 21:19, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

Al Jean, eh?

Good luck. Try to ensure neutrality by balancing fan criticism of him with his comments saying that he ignores fan criticism, you should find one in every single interview he has given in the last 6 years. On a slightly more serious note, you may be able to use this hilarious quote from him: "Well, it's possible that we've declined. But honestly, I've been here the whole time and I do remember in season two people saying, 'It's gone downhill.' If we'd listened to that then we would have stopped after episode 13. I'm glad we didn't." (Benji Wilson (9-1-2010). "The writer". Radio Times. p. 16. {{cite news}}: Check date values in: |date= (help)) Probably sums up the arrogant contadiction that is Al Jean (why would you have ended the show after 13 episodes due to criticism in season 2). Anyway, enough of my anti-Jean rambling, good luck with the page. Gran 21:00, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

You really like to stalk, huh? ;) Thanks for the quote, it will definitely be useful in the article. And feel free to help out if you want to. :) Theleftorium 21:11, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
My therapist told me it was a great way to meet people ;) But seriously, it's nice to see what people get up to, especally when I have no real time to do all that much myself. But I'll see if I can find anything else for Jean's article at some point. Gran 21:44, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the autograph!

The Flash was first, but you win most creative so far. ;) — Hunter Kahn 15:09, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

Just in case

Assuming MRG forwarded you my email, I just need to confirm that you know I'll be quite busy over the next week or so. If you need to email me, feel free, but I might be a bit slow with responses. Best, ceranthor 01:35, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Alright. I hope you're okay with the rescheduling of the RfA. I'll contact you in February and if you're still interested in nominating me we can set a date. :) Theleftorium 11:44, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Re: Trapper Keeper

I'll try, but unfortunately, as of about a week ago, my access to Lexis Nexis has become much more limited. :( It might take me a while... — Hunter Kahn 14:16, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

WikiCup 2010 and Dermatology-related content

I noticed that you are participating in the 2010 WikiCup. I have been working on the Bolognia push which is a project to make sure Misplaced Pages has an article (or redirect) on every know cutaneous condition. With that being said, there are still many cutaneous condition stubs to be made, and Bolognia could be a source for a lot of DYK articles, etc. Therefore, I was thinking maybe we could help one another... a competative WikiCup that also serves to improve dermatologic content on Misplaced Pages. I could e-mail you the Bolognia login information if you have any interest? ---kilbad (talk) 03:14, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Sorry dude, dermatology doesn't really interest me. Good luck though. :) Theleftorium 15:04, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

ÄnglaNytt

Här kommer decenniets första ÄnglaNytt - information från Svenska kyrkan Los Angeles... I've been wanting to check out this church for Swedes in the shipping industry (it's in a harbor area), but everything they send me is in Swedish. I saw something about gravlax though, and some sort of hot cider type drink, so it seems worthwhile. :) ChildofMidnight (talk) 17:51, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

Is that church driven together with the Norwegian Sjømannskirken (no:Den norske sjømannskirken (San Pedro))? There weren't many sources for the Swedish one, but I was able to find some stuff about the Norwegian church (, ). Theleftorium 18:37, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Nevermind me, I see you discovered that already. I'll see if I can add some sources. :) Theleftorium 18:41, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
It's funny because even though it's a Norwegian church, the Swedes at it seem to be the ones doing e-mail updates and all that. Indeed I figured out that it's a merged church. Kind of interesting. That area has Croatian, Greek and Italian immigrant communities also, but it's becoming more Mexican now. It's a harbor area with some itneresting history. I like those kinds of threads. This website has a more general take on the Swedish history of Los Angeles . Thanks for your help. Now I'm craving gravlax. A friend of mine it Norwegian/ Swedish but it's hard to get them to go to these things. :) ChildofMidnight (talk) 18:48, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Sorry about any edit conflict I caused. I'm off it now. If you want to expand it that would be great, because I can't read those sources you linked. :) ChildofMidnight (talk) 18:55, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Heh, I love gravlax, especially gravlax-jansson. :-) Theleftorium 20:32, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
I've expanded the article now so I'll nominate it for DYK. Theleftorium 21:55, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
You did a great job! Thanks so much. Very interesting. And I like that the article really captures the flavor of the place and what it's all about. Oftentimes article just give dates and recount events with no color. Cheers. ChildofMidnight (talk) 22:39, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
No problemo, and thanks! I'm glad I was able to help. Theleftorium 15:20, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

DYK nomination of Norwegian Seamen's Church

Hello! Your submission of Norwegian Seamen's Church at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and there still are some issues that may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Manxruler (talk) 02:57, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

A Streetcar Named Marge

Don't you think that the top 10 list should be mentioned somewhere on the article? The Times is a notable newspaper, and several articles about Simpsons episodes mention the ranking on EW's top 25 list.Aquila89 (talk) 22:37, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

I won't oppose adding it, but A Streetcar Named Marge is a Featured article and should be held to a high standard. Simply stating that the episode was included in a top 10 doesn't really reveal much about it, and seems a bit trivial. Theleftorium 17:59, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Hm. Homer's Phobia is a featured article, and it says: "It was placed fifth on Entertainment Weekly's top 25 The Simpsons episode list", without elaborating, similarly to The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson, also featured. Aquila89 (talk) 18:48, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Fair enough. I've added it back into the article. Theleftorium 20:20, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
